Only 10 weeks to go until the Great Adventure Challenge 2016 kicks off and a few teams are already off the mark with their fundraising campaigns. Check out the 2016 GAC Leader Board. (Currently the WA leaderboard, need to change for each state)
Race day is approaching and there’s still plenty of time to amp up your team training and get creative with your fundraising. Remember every dollar you raise and every training session you complete benefits you, your team and Starlight families.
Still need a little more inspiration for your perspiration? In 2015 Starlight brightened the lives of more than 185,000 sick kids and their families. That’s a lot of smiles. You too can be a smile raiser. Check out the Starlight 2015 Highlights video for a snapshot of how your support is impacting the lives of Aussie kids.
Once you have selected your team, make sure you discuss your objectives and goals. It is important that the team understands what these are, so you can move forward with a common focus. This should be reflected in how often you train and how hard you train. You team will perform better if you all have similar targets.
Fundraising is meant to be fun. Connect those who matter to your cause and know that your efforts are all the more meaningful, as you help deliver fun, joy and laughter to sick kids. Don’t forget to chat with your Starlight representative about taking your fundraising to the next level.
