the course

The course is kept secret until race morning. Maps will be handed out at registration so that you can plan and prepare for the day.

The course is designed so that faster teams face extra challenges and checkpoints, allowing for all teams to finish around the same time.

At most transitions your support team will meet with the on-course team. You can swap team members at these transitions, however team members can complete multiple successive legs if they wish.

A typical course might look like this:

  • LEG 1: 11km Run
  • Bonus Team Challenge
  • LEG 2: 19km Ride
  • Bonus Team Challenge
  • LEG 3: 7km Run
  • LEG 4: 3km Kayak
  • LEG 5: 10km Ride
  • Bonus Team Challenge
  • LEG 6: 3km Kayak

    information night

    There will be an (online) information night which teams are encouraged to attend. Representatives from Starlight and Max Adventure will provide information about fundraising, race day logistics and answer any questions you may have. The Information Evening includes a navigation tips and tricks session to help prepare teams for the challenges that they will face on race day, along with advice on preparing for other disciplines such as trail running, mountain biking and kayaking.
